User Interface & Ease of Use

Ant Download Manager comes with a simple user-friendly interface. Your downloads history is shown here in a thumbnail view by default. It shows the details such as download file size, speed, elapsed, progress, etc. If you have any incomplete downloads, you can resume them with ease.

Features of Ant Download Manager

Ant Download Manager quickly download files from the internet by repeatedly increasing the speed as much as your Internet connection allows. Its multithreaded downloading technology dynamically segments the file to increase the speed.

AntDM is capable of processing download errors automatically. Moreover, you can run several downloads simultaneously.

Downloading Window

This function enables you to pause the downloading and resume later. This can be very helpful when you are downloading large files. Moreover, If you encounter any download interruption due to loss of connection or system shutdown due to unexpected power outages, you will be able to resume from the last stage.

To start capturing your downloads automatically, first, you need to install the AntDM browser extension. After you finished the installation, the browser integration process will be run automatically.

After you integrate AntDM browser extension/addon, It can capture audio and videos from many media sharing sites. When you are on a web page that contains audio or video file(s), it shows the download video button with options.

This performs the same task as the Video Download Button. First, you need to enable this window by changing the settings on the browser extension/addon.

Unlike the video button, Video Box isn’t bonded to the video frame of the web page and the browser tab. So the Video Box is much more effective when capturing videos.

This feature enables a mini-window to manage your downloads. It supports drag and drop downloading by the URL such as youtube video links, PDF links, etc. You can enable this window by clicking on the icon  on the top right.

AntDM comes with a built-in Torrent downloader. You can add your torrent file by directly opening them or using a magnetic link. Then it extracts information about the download from the metafile and shows the following window.

AntDM comes with several colour themes including dark mode. You can change the theme by clicking on the hamburger icon  > Config > Appearance > Color Themes

When you download large files this feature can be very helpful. It enables you to set auto shutdown the PC after finished the downloads.

Sometimes, the conversion may not process correctly. In such cases, you can try to manually switch the conversion method and download the video again.

AntDM offers an internal media converter and an external media converter. Internal media converter uses a proprietary algorithm to convert using the FFmpeg library. External media converter fully relies on the FFmpeg.exe process for converting audio and video files.

Each window of AntDM has this option. It enables always overlap the window over the other windows.

Always On Top

Thumbnail View is most useful for the list of media (video and music) files. But if you need, you can switch to List View by selecting the item “Table” of the context menu.
